Navigating Italy’s evolving Export-Control frameworks

The III Italian Forum on Export Control in Rome underscored the rapidly evolving regulatory landscape governing dual-use materials and the increasing penalties for non-compliance.

We were honoured to participate in the III Forum Italiano sul Controllo delle Esportazioni (3rd Italian Forum on Export Control) in Rome – an important meeting hosted at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ International Conference Hall and organised by Assonime together with the National Authority UAMA.

This year’s programme brought together representatives from government, industry, academia, and research to discuss export-control frameworks, particularly in the context of dual-use materials and evolving international norms.

The discussions underscored a clear reality for global supply chains: regulatory landscapes around export control are continuously evolving, and non-compliance carries increasing legal, economic, and reputational penalties. As regulatory requirements become more complex, establishing robust internal compliance structures- or partnering with specialised external expertise, is no longer optional but essential for sustainable operations.

As a strategic PCB partner for several Tier-1 defence product owners, CONFIDEE fully embraces compliance and regulatory frameworks as a core part of how we support our customers and safeguard international trust.

“In a landscape where export control and compliance are fundamental to both operational integrity and international security, CONFIDEE’s commitment goes far beyond paperwork. It is about structured integration, disciplined processes, and full control throughout the supply chain. Our trusted global network of qualified suppliers enables compliant PCB sourcing from both Europe and Asia, ensuring that our customers can innovate with confidence and clarity,” says Andrea Queirolo, Sales Manager Italy, CONFIDEE.
