As a company being transparent, personal and quite compliance obsessed, we recently conducted the last Internal Compliance Training of the year. Summarising all year’s trainings, activities, research and looking forward to a new year with more education.
Through 2026 we will be a company demonstrating how things are done, setting the good example for the industry, taking compliance and how we prove it to a next level, not yet, seen by any other actor within our field.
Over the past year, our internal compliance training has strengthened how we work, think, and act across the organisation. By building a shared understanding of regulations, export control, data security, and quality requirements, we reduce risk, protect sensitive information, and ensure consistency in every decision we make.
Compliance training is not a box-ticking exercise, it directly influences daily behaviour, improves judgement under pressure, and enables us to act with confidence in a highly regulated environment. It makes us able to perform risk analysis, conduct proper KYC, and recognise when something requires closer attention.
Looking ahead, the most important lesson is to ask questions, evaluate risks and document – early and often. No answer, or no check gives the highest score on the risk barometer.
Even a question without an immediate answer is better than no question at all. Recording “Have not checked”, in documentation is always better than leaving something undocumented. In compliance, silence creates risk, while transparency reduces it.
This is why our core principle remains unchanged: if it is not in writing, it did not happen. Documenting decisions, uncertainties, and actions is what protects our work, our partners, and it is what will continue to make the difference going forward.
We have already planned next year’s Internal Compliance Training, with Monthly Training Sessions, help sheets and forms.
“In 2025, we have focused on awareness, competence and method. We have improved our ability to detect and handle issues and risks. In 2026, we improve documentation and reporting. We improve our ability to demonstrate our handling of issues and risks”, Anders Evensen Compliance Manager CONFIDEE.
Compliance is not a one-time fix – its ongoing and continuously changing and shaping our actions and strategies. We look forward to share more of our knowledge, launch digital assets that facilitate compliance and not at least, meet you all for valid discussions.
Wishing you a New Year with few surprises, more transparency, and compliance that actually works.
